Alltech purchased Lienert Australia Pty. Ltd. to strengthen its on-farm support services in Australia.

PMMI purchased Summit Media Group Inc., publisher of Packaging World, Automation World, Healthcare Packaging and Contract Packaging.

Pro Mach Inc. acquired Benchmark Automation, manufacturer of specialty material handling solutions and packaging equipment. The company also purchased Pace Packaging, manufacturer of automated bottle unscramblers and orientors.

Ingredion Inc. plans to invest approximately $100 million to increase its manufacturing capacity for specialty ingredients.

DuPont Nutrition & Health is expanding its manufacturing facility in Madison, Wis. The first phase includes a new milling, blending and packaging line for live bacteria cultures; and the second phase will increase the fermentation capacity for cultures.

FMC Corp. opened its new Asia Innovation Center in Shanghai, China. The center is a state-of-the-art facility with 22,000 square meters of laboratories and office space with approximately 60% dedicated to R&D labs.

GF Piping Systems and GF Machining Solutions LLC opened their new Irvine, Calif., facilities in October.

Boyd Food Machinery opened new office and warehousing facilities in Ireland.
