Edlong adds three cheese flavors
Edlong Dairy Flavors, Elk Grove Village, Ill., added three new cheese flavors to its line of concentrated dairy flavors and high-intensity dairy ingredients. They are a nondairy natural Parmesan-type liquid, a nondairy Romano cheese powder and a natural Cheddar-type powder.
“These additions give food manufacturers and marketers exciting and creative ways to reach their product development goals,” said Parveen Werner, director of marketing.
According to Edlong, the musty, fruity and aged notes of Natural Parmesan-Type Flavor #1412119 perform “exceptionally” in analog cheeses, snacks, salad dressings and sauces,. The liquid, oil-soluble flavor is kosher pareve-certified, non-GMO, whole-foods and organic-compliant.
Natural Romano-Type Flavor #1412030 features upfront savory and lipolytic notes and a buttery, fatty finish. This kosher pareve-certified, non-GMO and whole foods-compliant water-dispersible powder is said to be suitable for salad dressings, sauces, soups and analog cheese applications.
The yeasty and savory cheese notes in Natural Cheddar-Type Flavor #1412069 make it suitable for sauces and bakery products. It is a water- and oil-dispersible powder that is whole-foods and organic-compliant, certified kosher pareve and non-GMO.
