    Shamrock Farms taps NFL star for ads

    Milk processor Shamrock Farms, Phoenix, launched a national advertising campaign for its Rockin’ Refuel beverage featuring Peyton Hillis, a professional football player. Rockin’ Refuel is made with 100% milk. The ads will appear in sports publications, including Sports Illustrated, and on websites targeted towards active men. 

     

    JVM Sales receives SQF certification

    Linden, N.J., cheese processor JVM Sales Corp., doing business as Milano’s Cheese Corp., was awarded the SQF 2000 Level 3 Excellent Certification by the Safe Quality Food Institute. Level 3 is the highest level of certification awarded to manufacturers and distributors. Milano’s achieved the Level 2 designation last year.

     

    Muse Gelato opens ice cream division

    Andi and Brandon Moss, owners of the gourmet Italian gelato maker Muse Gelato, Orlando, Fla., opened an ice cream division, Orlando Ice Cream Co., that will focus on the hospitality industry, including theme parks, attractions, hotels and restaurants. The product line will include premium 14% butterfat products and 10% butterfat hard-packed products.

     

    Crave Brothers promote Earth Day

    Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Cheese, Waterloo, Wis., promotes Earth Day (April 22) with its sustainably produced cheeses. The package logo has a dairy cow inside a green circle with the words “Produced With Renewable Energy.” The cheese processor states it is committed to sustainability on its farm and in its farmstead cheese factory. Customers are asked to reuse and recycle the cheese packaging.

     

    Cabot Creamery offers healthy menus

    A Healthy Kitchen Helper guide from Cabot Creamery Cooperative, Cabot, Vt., is a printable one-page guide and web page intended to help consumers plan and serve healthy and delicious home-cooked meals.
