The Koolant Koolers heat exchanger packages incorporate a plate and frame heat exchanger on a prepackaged skid. Part of the company’s HEX Series, the shell and tube heat exchangers consist of a series of tubes. One set of these tubes, the hot side, contain the process fluid to be cooled. Alternatively, the cold side is fed a cooled fluid from either plant water or a dedicated chiller system. The second fluid runs over the tubes being cooled so that it can absorb the heat.
