Uninterruptible Power Supplies
Staco Energy Products has introduced its new
parallelable TreStar P line of online double-conversion three-phase
uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for critical loads. Up to 8 TreStar P
modules can be installed in parallel for redundancy or additional capacity.
These new products feature a digital control system to eliminate all
overloads, frequency variations, transients, flicker and blackouts in real
time. The digital control processes signals 10 times faster than previous
analog methods. A host of standard features and available options make the
TreStar P an ideal choice to protect sensitive loads like data centers,
computer systems, telecommunications systems, assembly lines and more. Easy
to install, these proven components include a user-friendly front control
panel with an easy-to-read LCD panel. An output power factor of .9 is
standard, and has a Vector-Controlled IGBT Inverter. An input circuit
breaker is provided as well as an internal maintenance bypass. Advanced
battery management system reduces the frequency of maintenance and
replacement schedules, saving time and money. — Staco Energy Products Co., 301 Gaddis Blvd.,

New Shrink Films
New Form-Tite™ formable shrink films from Curwood offer unmatched clarity,
gloss and ease-of-opening, plus deeper draw and superior shrink on
high-speed Multivac FormShrink equipment. Form-Tite films maximize the
equipment’s potential to triple productivity and lower total costs
compared to rotary chamber shrink systems. The films also provide better
gloss and clarity, as well as higher shrink, than competitive films,
creating tight, crystal-clear packages that deliver a superior branded
presentation in the meat or dairy case. Curwood’s broad portfolio of
Form-Tite films helps processors achieve significant productivity gains for
small, consistently portioned meats, as well as block and chunk cheeses.
The forming films also create a superior package for high-profile foods
like half hams because they allow deeper draw than competitive films. — Curwood Inc., A Bemis Co., 2200 Badger

Updated Brochures
Now available from NewAge Industries are two updated
brochures designed to ease the selection and buying processes. The
literature pieces inform customers and prospects in a wide variety of
industries about buying mistakes to avoid and of the broad line of tubing
and hose products offered by NewAge Industries. “The Top 12 Tubing
and Hose Buying Errors... and Their Solutions” (called the Top 12
for short) was developed to assist design engineers and purchasing agents
during the selection process, detailing situations such as failing to know
all temperatures involved, not being aware of pressure or vacuum
requirements, or neglecting to consider fittings and clamps for attachment.
Another fact sheet, NewAge Industries’ Products and Services
brochure, gives an overview of the company’s tubing, hose, fittings,
clamps and accessories. Products are listed by material with each style
highlighted — unreinforced, braid or wire reinforced, overbraided or
coiled. The brochure details sizes stocked as well as the many custom
options available including heat-formed shapes, hose assemblies and thermal
bonding — NewAge

New Cleaners
International Products has developed two new cleaners
to complement the company’s current line of aqueous cleaning
concentrates: Micro®-A07 Citric Acid Cleaner and Zymit® Enzyme Cleaner.
Micro-A07 is a biodegradable blend of anionic surfactants and chelants,
with a typical pH of 2.5. It is designed to remove milkstone, hard water
scale, rust, mineral deposits and other inorganic soils. Zymit Enzyme
Cleaner is a unique blend of a protease enzyme and detergents, with a
typical pH of 7.7. Zymit Enzyme removes protein-based soils, such as
gelatin, food debris and milkstone. Both cleaners are effective filter
membrane defoulants, especially when used in conjunction. — International Products Corp., P.O. Box 70,

Analysis System
The Hose Track Identification and Lifecycle Analysis
System from AdvantaPure offers several improvements over the conventional
pen-and-paper log book method of recording usage data for process
equipment. Hose Track’s updated brochure now includes an easy-to-read
chart that contrasts the differences. A patented system, Hose Track offers
an enhanced level of safety and security to processing functions performed
in critical industries like pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage,
medical device, chemical, and others involving high-purity applications.
The Hose Track system was developed for hose assemblies and is now used for
other process components — bio-bags, pumps, filters, diaphragm
valves, UV lamps, tanks and vessels. Using RFID technology and software,
Hose Track identifies individual parts to monitor continual, wear-related
events such as cleaning cycles and the number of batches processed. The
system also tracks where a critical component has been throughout its
useful life and provides a reliable, 21 CFR Part 11 compliant, electronic
pedigree for all tagged critical components. — AdvantaPure, 145 James Way, Southampton, Pa., 18966, phone (215) 526-2151,

Multi-Shear Mixing Head
The Bematek Z-Series In-Line Mixer features a modular,
multi-shear mixing head consisting of stators and high-speed rotors that
can be arranged in any combination to create from one to 12 shear action
zones. With product passage through each shear action zone capable of
achieving mixing results equal to one pass through an entire conventional
mixer, this multi-shear mixing head can eliminate the need for
recirculation and multiple mixers. Capable of emulsification, dispersion
and particle-size reduction down to 1 micron in one pass through, the
