UC Davis, Davis, Calif., honored Margaret A. Lawson, Chief Science Officer at D.D. Williamson, with an “Award of Distinction” from the university’s College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CA&ES) on Oct. 14.
The annual award recognizes those whose contributions and achievements enrich the image and reputation of the college and enhance its ability to provide public service. The college will also acknowledge Lawson among “Outstanding Alumni” for excelling as an industry professional, a mentor to aspiring food science students, and an avid supporter of UC Davis.
“We are proud of Margaret’s achievements and look forward to celebrating with her,” said Ted Nixon, Chairman and CEO, D.D. Williamson.“The individuals we honor with an Award of Distinction are great ambassadors for our college,” said Neal Van Alfen, CA&ES Dean. “It is because of them, and people like them, that UC Davis is so well known, respected, and sought out for talented leaders. We are pleased to give these individuals the recognition they richly deserve,” added Van Alfen.
