Alcan promotes Kitchel to vice president
Frank Kitchel has been named vice president of marketing for meat and dairy flexibles at Alcan Packaging Food Americas.
Frank Kitchel has been named vice president of marketing for meat and dairy flexibles at Alcan Packaging Food Americas. He advances from the position of director of marketing for that packaging segment.
In addition to expanded marketing responsibilities, Kitchel will create, implement and lead a new applications development services (ADS) group. The ADS group will work with customers and the company's research and development department on innovative packaging solutions.
Kitchel will continue to lead the development and implementation of market strategies for the meat and dairy flexibles marketing team.
Kitchel joined Alcan Packaging’s meat and dairy business in 2001. He started his career at Quantum Chemical Corp. as a research engineer, then served as marketing director at Eval Co. of America prior to joining Alcan Packaging.
Kitchel holds an MBA degree in industrial marketing from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
