Swiss-based beverage manufacturer Bishofszell introduces the world’s first iced tea that addresses healthy teeth. The new isomaltulose-sweetened beverage has been scientifically tested by the University of Zurich and is described as toothfriendly.

Scientific pH-tests at the University Dental Institute of Zurich demonstrated that Bischofszell’s new iced tea line has no risk for dental caries, as it does not depress the plaque-pH below the critical level of 5.7. When the acid concentration falls below this threshold, teeth can be damaged. The drink has received the prestigious “Happy Tooth” label from Toothfriendly International, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving dental health, supported by dental associations from all over the world.
