Unlike regular milk, A2 milk comes from cows that naturally produce only the A2 beta-casein protein. When A2 beta-casein protein is digested, it produces less of a peptide that has been associated with digestive discomfort for some people — which may result in more comfortable digestion with this new shake. 

Milk consumption appears to be rebounding, with the Dairy Milk category seeing a 3% increase in dollar sales to $17.7 billion. Similarly, the Refrigerated White Dairy Milk subcategory reported a 3% rise to $15.8 billion. While unit sales remained flat, this growth in revenue suggests a renewed consumer interest in milk.

This raise follows Alec's Ice Cream's viral sellout launch of Culture Cup, its new line of pre- and probiotic single-serve cups, now available nationwide at Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, and Target.

The introduction of A2 Greek Yogurt reflects the company's ongoing pursuit of excellence and its responsiveness to evolving consumer preferences, the company said.

This ice cream cup is under 160 calories and 10g or less of unrefined cane sugar. 

With 25% milkfat, it’s a rich and creamy sour cream. 

The launch expands The a2 Milk Company’s footprint in the U.S., where it debuted in 2015 with the first milk products from cows that naturally produce only the A2-type protein and no A1 protein.

As of Jan.1, sesame became the ninth food ingredient, as well as milk, required to be labeled as an allergen on packaged foods and dietary supplements.
