Butter and creamers might not land a starring role on the plate or in the bowl like their cheese and ice cream dairy cousins, but they are important and versatile supporting actors.

The new items are made from locally sourced milk; like many of the company's other new products, they come in paper-based packaging that is widely recyclable across the United States.

Organic Valley, LaFarge, Wis., introduced organic half and half creamer in two flavors — French vanilla and hazelnut.
