    Cheese fudge

    Marina Mayer's Marketing Musings

    By Marina Mayer
    February 9, 2012

Nothing says “I love you” like a big chunk of cheese, right? According to the folks at Sugar Brook Farms, Verona, Wis., there isn’t an official Valentine’s Day rule book, which means anything goes.

Under the company’s Kelly’s Kitchen line, Sugar Brook Farms offers a variety of gift sets complete with chocolate, fudge and of course, cheese, glorious cheese.

For instance, Kelly’s Kitchen chocolate cheese fudge and chocolate cheese fudge with nuts are Valentine’s Day classics. Each batch is made the old-fashioned way, featuring locally sourced Wisconsin cheese along with cream, cocoa and sugar. Once the fudge sets, it’s hand-cut into 7-ounce pieces, making it ideal for sharing. Plus, this cheese fudge maintains a 180-day shelf life, which means Valentine’s Day can be every day.

For romantic get-togethers, consumers can opt for cranberry almond spread. Developed using unique flavors, these recipes use Wisconsin cheese combined with flavors like cranberry, almonds, pumpkin spice and cream cheese and can be served with sugar cookies, graham crackers or vanilla wafers.

After dinner or for late-night desserts, Sugar Brook Farms offers all-natural dessert bites that are ideal for dessert trays. Consumers can choose from a wide selection of varieties such as cookies and cream and strawberry cheesecake rolled in graham crackers. Made with cream cheese, butter cheese and a lineup of sweets, these dessert bites are packed in a 5-ounce curved tray with 11 pieces per tray.
