An expert in marketing premium products told dairy processors that they are underpricing their products. The essence of his message to dairy owners and executives was: “You guys are not charging nearly enough for the products you sell. You are leaving money on the table.” 

Blue Diamond opened the doors to a new plant in Turlock, Calif., on Tuesday, June 18. The phase 1 expansion will meet growing global demand from yogurt processors and other food companies for almond ingredients.

Federal Manufacturing, Milwaukee, a supplier of dairy filling equipment, said Otis Cobb, president and a principal of the company retired on May 31.
Cobb credits the durability and simple design of Federal’s filling machines with the company’s success – machines the dairy industry can depend upon.
“We have machines that are 50 years old that are still running, still being used every day,” Cobb said.
 

David Michael & Co., Philadelphia, said Michael Schall has joined its Strategic Alliance Advisory Board.
It also signed a distribution agreement with Acacia Special Chemicals to be its distribution and innovation partner in sub-Saharan Africa.
