Elizabeth, N.J.-based Atalanta says it introduced Snowdonia Cheese Co.’s first-ever vintage cave-aged cheddar: Rock Star cheddar. 

Some startup companies have claimed that they can commercially and sustainably produce an animal-free “milk.” 

New York-based Whisps Snacks says it added two products, representing the company’s first forays outside of its pure cheese crisps category: Whisps Cheese Crumbs and Whisps Cheese Crisps & Nuts.

The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) board of directors selected 12 individuals to be recognized next year at CheeseExpo in Milwaukee for their outstanding work in the dairy processing industry.

The 2022 CheeseExpo, which will take place April 12-14 at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, will feature more industry education seminars and workshops to match a record number of exhibits for dairy processors.

The contest, which includes new and expanded categories, will be hosted by WCMA March 1-3 in Madison.

Crescent City, Calif.-based Rumiano Cheese Co. says it released the Kamome Chef Box, a limited-edition home chef culinary kit. 

The Kraft Heinz Co., headquartered in Chicago and Pittsburgh, said it will combine its U.S. and Canada businesses to create the North America Zone, which is expected to be effective in the second fiscal quarter of 2022.

Old Amsterdam, a brand of Westland Cheese Co., Huizen, Netherlands, unveiled seasonal tree-shaped Old Amsterdam aged Gouda holiday trees. 

The Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA), Novi, Mich., said it will acquire Superior Dairy in Canton, Ohio, a subsidiary of LEL Operating Co.
