 Vivien Godfrey, CEO of the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), has resigned her position to pursue other interests including the leadership of her two family-owned businesses in London and Florida.  She has been at the helm of the fluid milk marketing program for the past five years.

Chobani Inc. today said Andreas Sokollek will oversee all new product launches, production planning and materials management initiatives. He was named Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations.

E. Linwood Tipton, the former president of the International Dairy Foods Association, has died at age 78. Known to all as Tip, Mr. Tipton was the president and CEO of the Milk Industry Foundation and the International Ice Cream Manufacturers Association. In 1990, he pulled together the Milk Industry Foundation, the National Cheese Institute, and the International Ice Cream Association to form the IDFA.

Suppliers to the dairy processing industry announced new hires and promotions. Among them: The board of directors of Newman Sanitary Gasket Co., Lebanon, Ohio, named Thomas Moore president of the company and of Newman Diaphragm LLC. He has served as sales manager, vice president of sales, and president of the Dairy Equipment Division.

Jim Mulhern will move up to president & CEO from COO as Jerry Kozak retires Dec. 31 from the National Milk Producers Federation.

The American Dairy Products Institute honored Phillip S. Tong with an Award of Merit.  "ADPI members widely acknowledged Phil's numerous contributions to the processed dairy products industry throughout his distinguished career," said ADPI's CEO, David Thomas. "ADPI is pleased to recognize his service to the industry with this award."

John W. Panaseny is the new president of Oystar USA., and Fristam Pumps USA said Thomas Gavinski joined the company as sales manager - Americas. 

Frances Hashimoto, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mikawaya, has passed away.  

Sargento Foods Inc. this week announced several personnel changes. Among them:Bob Strickland was hired as national customer business manager for Costco and Laura Meyer as customer research manager. Vince Juneau was promoted to consumer research manager for Walmart and Sam’s club team.
