The Filtration Division of power management company Eaton will showcase a wide range of high-performance filtration solutions for the beverage industry at drinktec 2025, taking place Sept. 15-19 in Munich, Germany. In hall B5 at booth 460, Eaton’s filtration experts will demonstrate how they work hand in hand to produce clear and stable beverages.
Among the highlights will be Eaton’s new BECO Helix depth filter cartridges, a solution for liquid filtration. This innovative filter cartridge technology delivers twice the depth filter effect, significantly higher particle-holding capacity and more than 40% longer service-life compared to standard pleated depth filter cartridges. These performance advantages are made possible by the unique helix wrapping of the pleated, particularly thin and graded polypropylene fleece layers.
CIP and SIP compatible backwashability, with a wide range of applications: BECO Helix depth filter cartridges, available in various retention rates and made from polypropylene, provide a safe and efficient solution for prefiltration and fine filtration of beverages and liquid foods. The structure maximizes the effective filter surface area and enables optimal flow with low pressure differentials. The funnel effect and high mechanical stability make BECO Helix depth filter cartridges highly suitable for backwashing. The fine fleece layers provide reliable separation in particle, clarifying, and fine filtration, while also protecting downstream membrane filter cartridges.
Another central element will be the comprehensive portfolio of new and readily available diatomaceous earth types from Eaton’s BECOGUR range. Offered in five clarification levels with varying permeability grades, this range supports all beverage applications, from rapid base pre-coat buildup to achieving firmly adhering filter cakes and producing clear beer, fruit juice and wine. The high purity and low heavy metal content of the BECOGUR range meets the demands of consumers as well as the strict regulations for beverage production.
For the first time, Eaton will be showcasing the enclosed BECO INTEGRA LAB 220 sheet filter designed specifically for small-batch production. This portable circular filter is suitable for single- and two-stage filtration with Æ 222 mm depth filter sheets and can be equipped with a feed pump.
Visitors can also explore Eaton’s expanded portfolio of activated carbon filter media. The BECO CARBON depth filter sheets, available as flat sheets and as BECODISC BC stacked disc cartridges, offer strong decolorization and adsorptive removal capabilities, ideal for correcting the taste, odor and color of beverages.
Additionally, Eaton will present information about the use of filter bags and housings in food and beverage production. Products supporting beverage treatment, such as those for beer stabilization, fruit juice enzymes and the fining of wine, juice, spirits and sugar solutions with activated carbon, will also be featured at booth 460 in hall B5.
