Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) is releasing a seasonal lineup for fans who crave the perfect balance of savory and sweet ice cream this summer.
- Salty Caramel Pretzel is made with a base of salted vanilla ice cream churned with chocolaty covered pretzel bits and a ribbon of salted caramel.
- Apple Crisp draws inspiration from grandma's perfect apple crisp recipe, featuring vanilla ice cream with baked oatmeal streusel and crisp apple pieces to make hearts crumble.
"When dreaming up the new Salty Caramel Pretzel recipe, our R&D team spent hours testing the combination of salted caramel and chocolate covered pretzels in our extra creamy vanilla ice cream to make this decadent flavor that's perfect for summer," said Hunter Clayton, senior R&D Asociate scientist, TCCA. "To create the Apple Crisp flavor, we used a recipe from my mother as a base to help us translate apple crisp into ice cream. We all know the smell and unforgettable taste of a warm apple crisp, and what better way to tap into that nostalgia than a homemade recipe."
Tillamook fans of previous limited-edition flavors, Orange & Cream and Campfire Peanut Butter Cup will also see these flavors to join the core line of ice creams for the whole family to indulge in a shareable size with craveable flavors all year long.
Tillamook Ice Cream, including the Salty Caramel Pretzel and Apple Crisp flavors, is available across the country at Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, Publix, Ahold Delhaize, and many other grocery stores.
