Organic Valley said its new low-fat chocolate milk will hit the shelves in January. The offering has a kid-friendly taste and lactose-free formulation. Organic Valley uses only 100% organic ingredients.
According to the La Farge, Wis.-based cooperative, the low-fat chocolate milk offers the same nutrition and pasture-raised goodness as its regular milk. Each serving of the product contains essential nutrients such as vitamins A and D and 8 grams of high-quality protein.
“Organic Valley formulated its new chocolate milk with a better overall taste profile that is specifically kid-friendly, while slightly reducing the sugar content and making it lactose-free,” said Minh-Quan Huynh, Organic Valley brand manager. “Kids and parents love the new taste, and consumers everywhere will appreciate the better-for-you goodness that Organic Valley delivers.”
Nutrient-rich, the ultrapasteurized milk is from cows that are raised with the highest animal care standards. Organic Valley said its farmers never use toxic pesticides, antibiotics, GMOs or synthetic hormones. The milk has a suggested retail price of $5.29 to $5.99 for a half-gallon carton.
