ProMach acquires equipment manufacturer Modern Packaging
The deal expands ProMach’s capabilities into the filling of cups and trays.
ProMach, a Cincinnati-headquartered provider of packaging machinery solutions, said it acquired Deer Park, N.Y.-based Modern Packaging, a manufacturer of filling and sealing solutions for the food and dairy industries. The addition of Modern Packaging expands ProMach’s capabilities into the filling of cups and trays to complement its existing solutions in filling free-flowing liquids, semi-viscous products and viscous products into bottles and other rigid containers.
According to ProMach, Modern Packaging designs, manufactures and supports stainless-steel equipment for filling, heat-sealing, overcapping, loading and denesting premade cups and trays, as well as gas flush, HEPA, and clean-in-place and sterilization-in-place systems. Filling systems can be provided in fully enclosed, ultra-clean modified atmosphere packaging with gas flush or aseptic configurations, and all systems are designed to fulfill USDA and 3-A Sanitary Standards.
