Yogi-Dog creates yogurt for dogs
The offerings contain twice the amount of probiotics than what typically can be found in yogurt for human consumption.
Yogi-Dog, Mechanicsburg, Pa., said it introduced the first human-grade yogurt made specifically with dogs in mind. Yogi-dog is an all-natural lactose-free and Non-GMO Project Verified yogurt.
According to Yogi-Dog, the yogurt is more than a snack. It contains twice the amount of probiotics than what typically can be found in yogurt for human consumption, promoting positive gut health and strong bones in dogs. The suggested serving size for dogs is 0.5 to 7 tablespoons daily, depending on the size of the dog. Humans also may eat the product.
Yogi-dog yogurt comes in Original, Cheddar Cheese and Peanut Butter Cream flavors. It is available on the East Coast in over 500 supermarket dairy aisles and pet shops, including Shop-Rite, Karns and Food City. The suggested retail price for each 6-ounce container is $1.99, Yogi-Dog said.
