Boston-based Keto and Co. announced the release of Sated Ready-to-Drink, a grab-and-go dairy-based meal replacement shake. With this launch, Sated becomes the first nutritionally complete, ketogenic (keto) diet-friendly meal in a bottle to hit the market, the company said.

Keto and Co. said its Sated Ready-to-Drink shake fills a key gap in the growing market for convenient low-carbohydrate foods designed for the keto diet. According to proprietary research conducted by the company, 15 to 25 million people in the United States currently are following a keto diet, and they cite a lack of quick, convenient keto food options as their top challenge.

"Our shakes are ready when you are," said Ted Tieken, CEO of Keto and Co. "And because they have all the nutrition of a balanced meal, they keep you fuller longer."

Keto and Co. said Sated Ready-to-Drink is available in naturally sweetened Chocolate and Vanilla flavors. The offerings have a suggested retail price of $36 for a six-pack and $90 for an 18-pack, with a 20% discount for subscriptions on Sated.com. In grocery and convenience stores, the suggested retail price is $4.99 per shake.
