Eagle Product Inspection said it released a new publication, “Guide to Creating a Food Safety Culture,” to help food and beverage companies comply with recent updates to the British Retail Consortium (BRC) food safety standards.

One significant clause in the new “BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 8” makes a food safety culture a compulsory requirement. Eagle said it developed the new guide to assist food and beverage companies in determining how to assess their current food safety culture, plan and execute changes to their culture, and measure and update their overall approach. To help companies build and ensure a strong culture of safety, Eagle offers a range of advanced inspection technologies, along with maintenance, training and support.

“Creating a food safety culture goes beyond the important and necessary practices that have been in place in many companies, and includes a broad mindset in which food safety is part of the culture: every shift, every employee and every product check,” says Christy Draus, marketing manager for Eagle Product Inspection.
