Denali Ingredients cut the ribbon today to its renovated manufacturing facility in New Berlin, Wis. Denali is an ingredients supplier to the ice cream and other food manufacturing industries. Its sister company is Michigan-based Denali Flavors, Inc. which makes and markets Moose Tracks, its signature flavor.

In this All Things Dairy podcast interview, Denali Ingredients President Neal Glaeser talks about the plant expansion and company’s capabilities.

In 2006, Denali Ingredients purchased the former Eskimo Pie and CoolBrands manufacturing facility. The $5.5 million investment was used to re-face the exterior façade; build a new Innovation Center for research, development and creative flavor collaboration with industry partners; and build a state-of-the-art pilot lab where Denali can simulate full-scale manufacturing of new concepts. New production lines and capabilities have been added and the administrative office space has been expanded.

Denali said:

• Ingredients production has more than doubled in the past decade
• Sales revenues have more than tripled since Denali took over
• Staff has tripled since Denali first acquired the facility in 2006

“We are in the enviable position of having an incredibly talented team of dairy and food industry veterans who are committed to hands-on collaboration and innovation with our customers,” said Neal Glaeser, President of Denali Ingredients. “Our vision is to become the go-to ingredients supplier for innovative products and solutions.”

Denali plans to invest another $6 million in the second phase of expansion over the next 24 months, a move that will add new production capabilities and seed another 40-50 new jobs.
