New York-based Greek yogurt processor Chobani said today that 800 McDonald’s restaurants in Southern California will serve parfaits and smoothies made with Greek yogurt.

Chobani nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt replaces McDonald’s traditional yogurt used in the Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait and Mango Pineapple and Strawberry Banana flavored McCafe smoothies. The smoothies and parfaits will be on the new Simple Delights menu and will be available all day.

McDonald’s made the announcement in conjunction with other menu changes. The restaurant has developed additional Breakfast Bowl flavors that use other dairy products. The bowl flavors are:
  • Egg White & Turkey Sausage Bowl, a 250-calorie meal with 27 grams of protein. It is made with turkey sausage, egg whites, sautéed baby spinach and kale, topped with thin shavings of Parmesan cheese and bruschetta.
  • Scrambled Egg & Chorizo Bowl, made with hash browns, scrambled eggs mixed with chorizo, shredded cheddar and jack cheese and pico de gallo and spicy roasted salsa roja on the side.
