Visitors to dairyfoods.com in April were interested in milk and milk companies, trends in yogurt, protein research and how to reduce sodium in cheese.
When The Kroger Co. set out to build its first new fluid milk plant in more than 20 years, the vertically integrated grocery and convenience store chain had loft ambitions.
“We wanted to build a plant that would set us apart from other dairies in the U.S., both from a capability, flexibility and future innovation standpoint,” said Erin S. Sharp, Kroger’s group vice president for manufacturing.
