Packaging supplier Premier Tech buys Brazilian material handling firm
This is the 10th acquisition within the last 15 years by Premier Tech Chronos, the industrial equipment division of Premier Tech.
The Canadian packaging equipment company Premier Tech has acquired the Brazilian firm Almeida Martins. This is the 10th acquisition within the last 15 years by Premier Tech Chronos, the industrial equipment division of Premier Tech, based in Rivière-du-Loup, Québec, Canada. Almeida Martins is located in Jundiai, SP, Brazil. Terms were not disclosed.
Premier Tech said in a statement its goal is to “expand its worldwide presence and reinforces its status as the leader in the packaging equipment industry.” It said the acquisition will improve its ability to better serve global accounts in Brazil.
Premier Tech Chronos makes bagging systems, including open-mouth and vertical form-fill-seal systems, scales, palletizers and pallet wrapping equipment. Almeida Martins, founded in 1993, is a supplier of material handling and robotic solutions for packaging and palletizing.
