To complement the latest European high-speed, stand-up pouch fillers (300 pouches/60 cases per minute) Delkor developed the HSP-400, a state-of-the-art case-packer incorporating Rockwell Automation’s iTRAK linear servo technology. “You have to see it to believe it. Packaging stand up pouches at these speeds really benefits from the use of this new technology.” says Dale Andersen, President and CEO of Delkor.

Throughout the show, Delkor will be demonstrating its new mid-speed case packer (MSP-200). At speeds of 150 pouches/30 cases per minute, this system is well matched to the majority of pouch fillers currently on the market. “This system has the best of both worlds. By combining a vision-based delta robot with a high-payload, long-stroke Fanuc M-710iC, we have eliminated the need for traditional collation.” Andersen says. The vision-based M-2iA delta robot accepts skewed or misaligned pouches (+/-25°) at maximum product rate. The 710iC has the payload and stroke capability to load the latest SRP case designs as well as standard interleaved shippers. Semi-automated changeover allows the system to convert case styles in less than 10-minutes.

At Pack Expo, Delkor will be producing the new Cabrio Case®, a sturdy shipper that converts to a shelf display with one simple motion. Delkor’s Cabrio Case (patents pending), is launching nationally at major retailers this Fall. As the easiest to open SRP on the market, the Cabrio Case offers increased shelf facings, labor savings, reduced waste, a machine-cut front face and wrapped corners for excellent shelf appearance.
