The Wisconsin Dairy Products Association, Madison, elected its 2015 officers at its annual meeting in July. They are: President Dan Williamson (Kemps), Vice President Louise Hemstead (Organic Valley), Treasurer Dan Zastoupil (Marathon Cheese) and Secretary Bob Walker (Prairie Farms).
In additions, six members were approved for three-year terms: Mark Frederixon (AMPI), Ken Kohlwey (Cedar Crest Specialties), Trevor Wuethrich (Grassland Dairy Products), Bruce Pronschinske (Kwik Trip), Tim Kelly (Land O’Lakes) and Tony Anderson (Swiss Valley Farms).
Roush is the new dean at Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences
Richard Roush will be the new dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences at Pennsylvania State University, effective Oct. 1. Roush is currently the dean and a professor at University of Melbourne’s Melbourne School of Land and Environment in Australia. Roush replaces Bruce McPheron who left Penn State in November 2012 to become vice president for agricultural administration and dean of the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State University, his undergraduate alma mater.
