“Greek yogurt for men” company adds two new yogurt products

Powerful Yogurt Plus+ and Powerful Yogurt Protein Bars are part of expanded offerings targeted to athletes and active lifestyles.

    March 21, 2014

Powerful Yogurt, the Miami Beach, Fl.-based company, known for creating its Greek yogurt for men, has launched two new product lines — Powerful Yogurt Protein Bars and Powerful Yogurt PLUS+ – at Natural Products Expo West earlier this month.

Powerful Yogurt PlusThe Powerful Yogurt Plus+ line of Greek yogurts contains whole grains with the company’s signature high-protein Greek yogurt. The Greek yogurt contains 21 grams of natural protein per 8-ounce serving. The initial flavors available include Coconut + Quinoa, Tropical Fruit + Oats and Lemon + Chia. The new yogurt is low-fat, gluten-free, Kosher and contains non-GMO ingredients. The suggested retail price is $1.99 to $2.99 per cup.

The Powerful Yogurt Protein bar is the first protein bar with yogurt coating and probiotics, according to the company. Developed by an award winning bar maker, the protein bars contain 20 grams of protein and 4 grams of sugar per bar. The initial flavors available are: yogurt creme, peanut butter and chocolate coconut flavors.

The yogurt protein bars contain GanedenBC30 (Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 6086), which delivers 1 billion CFU Bacillus coagulans to boost immune function and digestive health as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. The bars are gluten-free, Kosher and contain non-GMO ingredients.

Powerful Yogurt products are now available at nearly 2,000 grocery stores across the country. They are available through distributors including KeHe, UNFI, Cedar’s Foods, Gourmet Guru and C&S.
