A Software-as-a-Service offering, it uses a multi-tier historian database architecture, which stores data from one or more Wonderware Historians around the plant onto a cloud-hosted instance.
Data flows only one way—from the local historians to the online historian— offering protection from cyber intrusion and safe availability of data for production troubleshooting, reporting and analytics. The solution leverages Windows Azure cloud services from Microsoft Corp., so there is no software to install or set up.
