ADI Systems’ anaerobic ADI-BVF digester treats raw process wastewater comprised of powder, cheese and high-strength salty whey before it flows into a pre-existing biological nutrient removal system. The COD, BOD and TSS are anaerobically digested and the organics are converted into energy-rich biogas for utilization. The digester treats dairy wastes high in fat, oil and grease, and offers processors cost savings in the form of reduced BOD/COD/TSS concentrations, plus the generation of valuable biogas energy.
