Koch Membrane Systems offers a complete line of custom, spiral sanitary microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis elements. Its ultrafiltration (UF) membranes are used to concentrate milk prior to the cheese-making process, effectively increasing throughput to produce more cheese at reduced shipping and storage costs. Permeate from the UF step can be further processed with the company’s RO and NF membranes to produce lactose and permeate powder.
