As part of the reorganization of Danisco’s Enablers Division, it was announced that John Breeden will take on a new role at the company.
“I am extremely pleased that John has accepted the position of vice president, NAFTA for the Enablers organization, reporting directly to me,” said Mikael Sternberg Christiansen, president of the division. “John, whose skills and background can help us bridge internal gaps and build stronger, more effective teams will help make Danisco a stronger, more agile player in the global marketplace.”
In his new position, Breeden will be responsible for developing the commercial and financial aspects of Danisco’s Enablers Division, which consists of hydrocolloids, stabilizer systems and emulsifiers. As part of the divisional reorganization, he will lead efforts to develop the business by industry-specific segments in lieu of the product-specific ones of the past.
A 22-year veteran of Danisco, Breeden began his career in food science as a lab assistant and has taken on roles of increasing responsibility and leadership since that time. Most recently, he served as vice president-sales for the United States. “John is a proven leader whose unique blend of technical expertise, Danisco experience and commercial business acumen will serve him well in his new role in Enablers,” Christiansen said.
