Virginia Dare, Brooklyn, N.Y., has appointed Sandy Liang to the position of food technologist. Liang recently graduated with a master’s degree in nutritional sciences from Rutgers University and has more than four years of product development experience. Her responsibilities include creating new flavor concepts for food products and beverages and designing prototypes, and supplying technical support in the health and nutrition related area.
The company also appointed Stephanie Lynch as business development director. In this new assignment, Lynch will focus on business development in the health and wellness, nutritional and pharmaceutical industries.
Lynch formerly worked at Dow Chemical Co. in Zurich, Switzerland, where she held the position of global market manager for food and nutrition business. She previously held positions in business development with Dow in Paris and as NAA sales manager in Atlanta. Prior to her association with Dow, she was a senior project leader and food scientist at Thomas J. Lipton (Unilever) in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.
