General Mills has its Breakfast of Champions, well now HP Hood is tipping its cap to the Boston Red Sox with what might become known as the Dessert of Champions. The Hood Champions Ice Cream line recognizes the 2004 Red Sox, who became Boston's first World Series Champions in 86 years.

Four flavors are Green Monster Mint, Comeback Caramel, Fenway Fudge and Peanut Butter Nation, and some feature special inclusions including chocolate "Sox". The line is marketed primarily along the Atlantic Coast. The company says it hit a home run with the March roll-out, selling more than 180,000 cartons to New England grocery stores in its first month. The most popular flavor so far is the Green Monster Mint.
