Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) will conclude its funding and operational support for GENYOUth by the end of this year. GENYOUth and AFHK will continue to operate as independent 501(c)(3) nonprofits, maintaining their individual IRS statuses, Charity Navigator profiles and boards, while adopting an interconnected governance model.
The goal of the Commitment is to eliminate the use of Red 3, Red 40, Green 3, Blue 1, Blue 2, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6 in any milk, cheese, and/or yogurt products sold to K-12 schools for reimbursable school meals by July 2026.
Designed to serve K-12 schools throughout the state of California, Rumiano’s new program is already underway serving 10 school districts and impacting over 50,000 students daily.
