Emil Nashed is executive vice president for Research & Development at Dairy Management Inc. (DMI). At DMI for eight years, Nashed leads the dairy checkoff’s product research program to drive innovation and sales of dairy products and ingredients. He provides strategic leadership to DMI’s product research team as well as its checkoff’s partners, including Domino’s, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, General Mills, and Amazon. He also helps guide DMI’s growth strategy through the checkoff-funded Dairy Foods Research Centers network, which includes fluid milk revitalization and export partnership efforts. With 25 years of dairy industry expertise, Nashed was a pioneer in developing value-added fluid milk, fortified milk, milk products, and first-in-market natural flavored dairy coffee creamers. He also led the reformulation and development of natural drinkable yogurt, dairy desserts, and other fermented dairy products.
