Serendipity Brands, a New York-based super-premium ice cream company inspired by iconic desserts from Serendipity3 restaurant, said it appointed Bob Gorman CEO.
Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative is a community of more than 900 dairy farm families in 13 states that is “passionate about cultivating dairy goodness and bottling fresh Maola brand milk and dairy products.”
The companies will open up the packaging recipe to encourage all brands to leverage the breakthrough in their manufacturing processes.

Camarillo, Calif.-based Zume, a sustainability solutions company creating economically viable substitutes for single-use plastics, announced a partnership with Wilmington, Del.-based Solenis, a producer of specialty chemicals.
The act would provide new authority to the Federal Maritime Commission to address unjust and unreasonable practices by ocean carriers.

The U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) and the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF), both headquartered in Arlington, Va., said they offered their support for bipartisan legislation introduced Aug. 10 by Representatives John Garamendi (D-Calif.) and Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.): the Ocean Shipping Reform Act.
IDFA said the move protects U.S. dairy exports and global infant nutrition supply chains.

Bel Brands USA, Chicago, announced a new program in partnership with Kansas City, Kan.-based Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) to implement and measure sustainable cooling practices designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by cutting on-farm energy usage.
This is the 18th year IDFA has sponsored the Dairy Industry Safety Recognition Award program, highlighting the outstanding workplace safety achievements of U.S. dairy companies.
