The Dairy Business Innovation Alliance (DBIA), Madison, Wis., released dates for all-new industry grants to help Midwest dairy producers and processors diversify, modernize or develop new products.

Bellwether Farms, a family-owned producer of yogurt and cheese based in Petaluma, Calif., said it launched Project Spilled Milk, an indiegogo campaign with the goal of raising $50,000.

Retail-sales as reported by Chicago-based market research firm IRI over the past three months show that consumers have reacted to the coronavirus crisis first by stocking up on dairy, then by continuing to buy milk and other products at disproportionately high levels.

On May 12, Reps. Glenn “GT” Thompson (Pa.-15) and Dwight Evans (Pa.-03) introduced the “Assistance and Gratitude for Coronavirus Heroes in Agribusiness who are Invaluable to the Nation,” or the AG CHAIN Act.
