The program established by Congress in the 2018 Farm Bill and is one of the Department’s key nutrition incentive programs for participants in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
A community event held at Buche Foods in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, marked the launch of the HFMI project, Add Milk!, at 14 participating stores across the state of South Dakota.

The Food Safety Summit, the annual tradeshow for food safety professionals, will celebrate 25 years when it returns to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., from May 8 to 11. The conference program, developed by an Educational Advisory Board (EAB), will feature sessions led by industry thought leaders.
The NMPF and IDFA expressed optimism for USDA’s proposed updates to school meal nutrition standards.

NMPF and IDFA are carefully reviewing other provisions set forth in the proposed rule, including the weekly added sugars and sodium limits, to assess their impact on students’ ability to benefit from nutrient-dense dairy food. NMPF and IDFA will submit formal comments as requested by USDA.
The Dairy Sustainability Alliance consists of companies and organizations across the dairy community and others who want to contribute to dairy’s social responsibility journey.
