When we think about the Gen Z consumer, who is between 11 and 26 years old, it makes perfect sense that they are buying less than the national average.

The California milk donations will be distributed to 12 Food For Family partner food banks.

During a June 1 event at the Raley’s location on Freeport Blvd in Sacramento, Calif., the CMAB and representatives from Raley’s and the Yolo Food Bank outlined the matching funds initiative that will provide up to 13,000 gallons – more than 200,000 servings – of fluid milk to 12 food bank sites.
Co-op donated 85 pallets of milk, which is over 346,000 milk servings.

The tradition of the Indy 500 winner drinking milk dates to 1936 when a cameraman captured Louis Meyer sipping from a bottle of buttermilk, according to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Milk aims to provide motivation and inspiration for #TeamMilk at every touchpoint of the 26.2 journey.

During the race on Sunday, May 21, the #TeamMilk cheer squad is taking over mile 23 with a milky white tunnel of motivation in support of all runners as they head into the final miles of the race.
The donation came as more than 40 staff and board members of the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) completed a service project sorting and packing more than 14,000 pounds of food for the hungry at the food bank in Nashville.
