Munroe Dairy names new CEO

Rhode Island's Munroe Dairy named Kayla Viveiros CEO. Viveiros will lead the 145-year-old dairy and grocery delivery company alongside the Armstrong family, which has stewarded the business since 1936.
Viveiros was selected for her proven ability to strengthen operations, modernize systems, and lead people-centered organizations. The Armstrong family believes these capabilities are essential to sustaining Munroe Dairy’s growth while preserving the values, personalized service, and customer trust built over generations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kayla to the Munroe Dairy family,” said Rob Armstrong, owner, A.B. Munroe Dairy. “We have reached an important moment in our storied history, one which necessitates disciplined leadership and a clear vision for the future. Kayla brings the operational focus, steady judgment, and respect for people that we need, while understanding the importance of preserving our foundational values and the customer trust we’ve built over generations.”
As CEO, Viveiros will focus on strengthening core operations and technology systems, investing in long-term infrastructure, deepening partnerships with local vendors, and supporting workforce development, while continuing to deliver the quality, convenience, and premier customer service Munroe Dairy customers expect.
Viveiros previously led strategic initiatives supporting small and mid-sized manufacturers and working closely with federal and state partners to drive sustainable growth and long-term performance.
Prior to joining Munroe Dairy, Viveiros worked at Polaris MEP, a nonprofit organization that provides improvement solutions to Rhode Island manufacturers to help them achieve sustainable and profitable growth. There, she led strategic supply chain resilience initiatives supporting small and medium-sized manufacturers, generating $785.9M in economic impact; executed $90M+ in technology adoption, workforce development, and operational optimization projects; and secured and managed multimillion-dollar alternative funding sources.
“I am honored to step into this role and to work alongside the Armstrong family at such an important moment in Munroe Dairy’s history,” said Viveiros, “This is a business built on trust, quality, service, and personal connection. My priority is to support our team, strengthen our operations, and ensure Munroe Dairy is positioned for sustainable growth while keeping the Munroe Magic at the center of everything we do.”
