ORBIS hosts grand opening for Texas facility
ORBIS Corp., a provider of reusable packaging solutions, hosted the grand opening of its renovated state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greenville, Texas.
The facility, in operation since earlier this year, features 420,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 240,000 square feet of warehouse space. It produces reusable totes and pallets that move, store and protect product in the supply chain. With sustainability in mind, ORBIS fully repurposed and modernized this existing facility, estimated to create more than 190 new jobs within three years, with room for future expansion.
“The Grand Opening of our Greenville facility marks a significant milestone for ORBIS,” said Norm Kukuk, president of ORBIS. “This renovated facility not only expands our manufacturing capabilities and geographic reach but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability and innovation. By repurposing an existing building and investing in advanced automation, we’re better positioned to serve our customers with speed, efficiency and environmentally responsible solutions. It’s a proud moment for our team and the Greenville community.”
Grand Opening guests were welcomed with remarks from Kukuk and Greg Sims, president and CEO of Greenville Economic Development. Additional speakers included Greenville Mayor Dr. Jerry Ransom, who highlighted the strong partnership between ORBIS and the Greenville community. Located 50 miles northeast of Dallas, Greenville offers a strategic location with a robust business environment, strong ties to the local technical college and support from workforce and economic development agencies.
