Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association makes key new hire

Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) hired Amelia Neas as its new Programs & Policy Manager, supporting the organization’s advocacy initiatives and communications on behalf of its more than 800 members operating across the U.S. and around the world.
With a strong background in stakeholder engagement and a passion for fostering meaningful connections between organizations, government agencies, and communities, Neas brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to WCMA. She will play a key role in WCMA’s efforts to serve as a voice for the dairy processing industry and drive impactful, lasting policy change. Neas will also lend support to WCMA’s communications, keeping members informed on the latest industry news, educational opportunities, and more. Rebekah Sweeney, WCMA’s Senior Director of Programs & Policy, will continue to lead WCMA’s advocacy work, growing the organization’s presence at both the state and federal levels.
“We are thrilled to welcome Amelia to our team,” said John Umhoefer, Executive Director of WCMA. “Her experience and commitment to building strong, strategic partnerships will be instrumental as we expand our advocacy work.”
Prior to joining WCMA, Neas served as Advance Director & Trips Director in the office of Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, where she interfaced with state agencies and internal teams to plan and execute hundreds of strategic outreach events each year.
