Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams appointed veteran food industry executive Stacy Peterson as CEO. Peterson will assume the role in December.

A self-admitted “raving fan of the Jeni’s brand for years,” Stacy is known as a calm, thoughtful leader, with a great eye for talent. Most recently, she has served as chief revenue officer of Wingstop, where in her nine-year tenure she has served as chief experience officer and chief digital & technology officer. Peterson helped grow Wingstop from 550 restaurants when she joined to the 1,900 in operation today. Peterson led Wingstop’s digital and marketing transformation, building digital experiences that enabled industry leading momentum for Wingstop.

Prior to her roles at Wingstop, Peterson held leadership positions at Service King, a Blackstone Portfolio Co., as well as FedEx Office and CBRE. She is married with two boys and will relocate with her family to Columbus in 2023.

“I’m excited to join Team Jeni’s and help carry on their commitment to making better ice creams and bringing people together,” said Peterson. “What Jeni created, with quality as the company’s North Star and a tremendous focus on customer experience and a team commitment to be a Force for Good, will continue to be what differentiates this company from our competition.”

Jeni’s outgoing CEO John Lowe announced in June that he was stepping aside as CEO after 13 years. He will remain on its board. “I’m so excited to have Stacy lead our team," said Lowe. "The company will benefit from her thoughtful approach and deep expertise in fast growth brands. She loves helping people succeed and I’m excited to see her coach and mentor the 1,800 members of Team Jeni’s. I know her leadership will help ensure we are a force for good for years to come. And I’m excited that Stacy, her husband and boys will join our Columbus community."
