A variety of organic milk products will be offered under the new local dairy brand.
Wild Rose Foods, Portland, Ore., said it introduced Lulubelle’s Creamery, a new dairy brand of of local organic milk produced at Wild Rose Foods’ Lulubelle Creamery. Wild Rose was founded by Chuck Eggert, who also started Basics, an emerging network of local grocery stores.
According to the company, Lulubelle’s Creamery produces fresh milk products from Wild Rose Foods’ own Willamette Valley dairies, where cows graze on organic pastures and eat organic alfalfa grown at its farm in eastern Oregon. The milk is a blend from both Holstein and Jersey cows, which produces a higher-fat premium milk with a creamier texture.
