Carvel and Rich Products partner to release ‘Frozen 2’ ice cream cake
The cake is snowflake-themed.
Atlanta-based Carvel, in partnership with Rich Products, Buffalo, N.Y., released a special-edition Disney “Frozen 2” ice cream cake. The cake is snowflake-themed with premium vanilla and chocolate ice cream, creamy whipped icing and signature Carvel chocolate crunchies, the companies said.
“As fans go on this next journey with Disney’s ‘Frozen 2,’ we wanted to create a really special treat that captures the spirit of the film — enchantment and sweetness in the form of a snowflake cake,” said Kimberly O’Brien, shopper marketing manager for Rich Products’ In-Store Bakery & Deli Division. “We’re incredibly excited to work with Disney and Carvel to bring this new cake to grocery stores around the country for millions of ‘Frozen’ movie fans and ice cream lovers.”
The offering is available at major grocery retailers, including Walmart, Publix, Kroger, Hy-Vee and ShopRite. According to the companies, the cake is the first and only Disney “Frozen 2” ice cream cake available; it serves six to eight people and has a suggested retail price of $14.99.
