Plymouth, Wis., cheesemaker Sartori Co. was awarded three gold medals at the International Cheese Awards held in Nantwich, Cheshire, U.K. Sartori’s Cognac BellaVitano was named “Best USA Cheese”, SarVecchio Parmesan won the “Cheese with Health Benefits” category and Merlot BellaVitano took gold in the “Cheese, Sweet Additives.”  The company also received a silver medal for its Balsamic BellaVitano and a bronze award for its Citrus Ginger BellaVitano.

Point Reyes Bay Blue from Point Reyes Farmstead, Point Reyes, Calif., earned the Specialty Food Association’s top honor:  the Gold sofi Award in the cheese category at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.
