Chemical Cap Sanitizer
Fogg Filler has introduced a new Chemical Cap
Sanitizer. As manufacturers’ are continually demanding greater
sanitation, Fogg has designed the Chemical Cap Sanitizer to meet the market
demands. It consists of a conveyor that carries caps through a vigorous
wash cycle using the customer’s solution of choice. The caps are
treated to a combination of chemical exposure and mechanical action. If the
supply of product to be sanitized is interrupted, pneumatic escapements and
photo-eyes monitor and toggle appropriately, so that every unit is properly
dosed. The process effectively removes loose debris such as cardboard dust,
and allows sanitizing solution to contact all exposed surfaces of the cap.
The duration of exposure is variable, and can be tailored to a specific
application to achieve the customers desired log reduction in microbial
count. Rates up to 1,000 caps per minute are possible. — Fogg Co., 3455 John F. Donnelly Drive, Holland, Mich.,

Durable Hose
Immediately available from AdvantaPure is
rubber-covered FEP hose with a USP Class VI-approved core.
Manufacturedfor use primarily in the pharmaceutical, food, distilled
beverage, chemical, and biotech industries, the multi-ply hose is durable,
highly flexible, kink resistant, and suitable for both pressure and vacuum
applications. The hose, called APFRC, has always had an interior produced
with materials that meet Class VI requirements, but now the finished core
itself is Class VI tested and approved. This certification offers a higher
degree of purity and safety for the products flowing through the hose. In
addition to the core’s Class VI approval, its ingredients comply with
FDA and USDA standards. APFRC’s other construction materials consist
of a woven fabric overbraid, double spiral steel wire reinforcement, and a
protective outer jacket of EPDM rubber. —

Manual Shut-off Valve
Plast-O-Matic Valves has introduced a half-inch palm-
or foot-operated shut-off valve with no metals or external fasteners for
high-purity or corrosive environments. These balanced, compact valves are
designed for liquid service to 150 psi. The balanced aspect means that the
valve outlet pressure, commonly known as backpressure, can be as high as
the inlet pressure without affecting performance. The normally-closed
design has a spring return and will automatically close “fail
safe” when hand or foot force is removed. Series MFR is offered in
Grade 1 Type 1 PVC or natural polypropylene for heavy duty applications. — Plast-O-Matic Valves Inc., 1384 Pompton Ave., Cedar

New Refrigerator and Freezer Line
Master-Bilt has unveiled its BSD Series, a new line of
self-contained, bottom-mount solid-door reach-in refrigerators and
freezers. The BSD series consists of six models that offer increased
capacities of 24, 52 and 80 cubic feet over Master-Bilt’s previous
bottom mount reach-ins. They come equipped with reversible door swing and
are Energy Star and California Energy Commission certified. All of the BSD
Series refrigerators and freezers feature an electronic controller with a

Printing Solution
Tharo Systems provides an easy solution for printing
bar code and RFID labels using XML (Extensible Markup Language) enabled
enterprise systems. EasyLabel® 5.5 Platinum’s XML Monitor will “watch” a
file directory or TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet
Protocol) port and will automatically print RFID or bar code labels when a
compatible XML file is received. This feature provides a direct connection
to any application capable of generating a properly formatted XML file. It
will make seamless printing RFID or bar code labels from supply chain or
manufacturing software. The XML Generator enables you to generate XML from
a given format file. The generator prompts for the formats, number of
labels to print, which printer to use and variable data used to populate
the fields on the format. The XML file that results from the generator can
be used as a template that can be uploaded to and populated from within an
XML enabled application. — Tharo Systems
