Easy-Slide Rotor Support
Nu-Con rotary valves are now available with a bottom-mounted slide rail that supports the rotor and non-drive end plate when they’re removed from the valve bore. Once removed, the Easy-Slide Rotor Support (ESRS) assembly lets you pivot the rotor and end plate up and out of the way, helping to facilitate cleaning and inspection. The ESRS also helps protect expensive valve components and keeps them precisely aligned for reassembly. The ESRS assembly will maintain critical tolerances for years and features heavy-duty construction, hard-chrome slide rods and precision linear bearings. ESRS allows for removal of end plate only, or the complete rotor and end plate assembly. When the complete assembly is removed the rotor can be separated from the end plate to allow access to the shaft seals.

Safety Guarding Technology
Fogg Filler has introduced its new safety guarding technology. The company’s safety guarding has been designed to accommodate the most rigid safety and sanitation requirements including HEPA class 100. Fogg’s new safety guarding is made of stainless-steel framework with clear polycarbonate to enclose the sides of the filler. There are hinged access doors to enter all sides of the filler for quick and easy maintenance. Electrical interlocks have been placed on each of the doors to disable the filler if the doors are opened while the filler is running. The internal lighting also provides another level of safety for the machine operator. Customer’s sanitation needs vary greatly. That is why Fogg’s safety enclosures also offer class 100 HEPA filters. That means hundreds of air changes per hour pass through the 99.99 percent efficient HEPA filters to ensure the product has greater sanitation and a longer shelf life. Special attention has been made in the design phase to ensure that these filters are very simple to replace. There are also perforated air diffuser face screens to ensure even distribution of clean air throughout the clean room.
