PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ecolab Inc. was presented with the 2011 International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) Innovation Sustainability Award for its recently introduced Envirocid Plus™ CIP (clean-in-place) cleaner at the International Dairy Show in Atlanta. Envirocid Plus is a zero-phosphorus, low-nitrate acid CIP cleaner that was recognized for helping processing plants manage their effluent and operating costs while improving their sustainability profile.
Envirocid Plus uses a patent-pending, blended acid formulation that helps reduce total phosphorus and nitrates in plant effluent. "With regulations on phosphorus and nitrate discharge becoming an increasing challenge for dairy, food and beverage plants, we developed Envirocid Plus to help our customers meet their compliance and sustainability goals.
